We started Total Water because buying a water softener in the UK is genuinely confusing. So we gather the trusted reviews from across the web, average them into one honest score, and sell only the ones that earn it.

Why we run a shop alongside the reviews
Most review sites make money by pushing you to a retailer and taking a cut, which quietly rewards recommending whatever pays best. We didn't want that incentive.
Instead, we sell a short list of the products that average four stars or better across the reviews we gather. It means the recommendation and the thing you buy are the same decision, and we're accountable for both.
To keep that honest, we hold a hard line between the two: the aggregate score is calculated before any commercial decision, scores never change because we stock something, and every source behind a score is credited and linked.
